We must support our local agricultural community, especially the family farm. The shocking low commodity prices are unacceptable. The Minnesota in 2019 saw an unacceptable amount of family farms going bankrupt. Our Minnesota Democratic FARMER Labor party was historically a leader in establishing price supports for farmers, and established Minnesota’s ethanol industry, over opposition by the other party. As a state and local community we must make a commitment to our local family farms to see them thrive again.  

Our economy starts with the farmers.

We are an agricultural state with some of the best farmers in the nation living right here in our western Minnesota. I am committed to maintaining the current  corporation-restricting farm law, to advocating for right to repair laws that allow  farmers to fix their own equipment, as well as policies that promote soil health and clean water.
